It doesn’t work with the newest Yosemite Beta update. I know it isn’t officially supported yet, but still you should do something about it - Yosemite will be soon on for everyone.

v. 2.2 is a crap on Yosemite - unable to switch repeat modes - unable to turn shuffle on/off - unable to display preferences - every time i start vox i need to click few times through welcome screen ehhh….. such a shame that developers changed v. 2.0.x that much…..
The error says it has some problem with AppStore validation. It used to be a nice app. I had to reinstall.
After a few restarts the Airplay icon appeared but VOX just stops responding when I try to pick the airplay. Theres definitely something wrong with the few last updates. Get a grip, guys ))
This app is really great! Pretty interface, opportunity of listening Flac, podcasts! But theres just one question: will you create an iPad version?
Radio streaming is broken, fix pls
Vox 2.0.1 appends or crashes when I call “preferences” or “Save” When do they will fix the bugs?

It was he perfect ultimate app, now they are loading it with freatures and it is loosign its original look and feel and easy going interaction
Airplay is not working anymore. Itunes works but Vox no more. Please fix it
where are audio units? I can’t find them…
THe software does not open anymore… Somebody knows how to fix this?
I really love it! (But I like more the old icon of the previous release)
First of all, I arrived to Vox tired of converting formats but since then I discover that the player have much more to offer: minimalistic (but not simple) interface, the chanse to add collections, sync ypur Itunes library, ther low resource consumption of the app and, a very valuable option for me, the chanse to navigate through Soundcloud within the app. However it have a couple of issues to fix (the way the app show the results in Soundcloud are awful and limited), I think it is a very good option for quality sound and design.
Shows ads and pop-up banners of its own paid subscriptions.
I really wanted this to be my new music library as an alternative to the horrendous app that has become iTunes. I was so excited when I first discovered Vox. For the first week I loved it. But it is just so small and I can see so little information about a song in the window. This app has some incredible features, like the Soundcloud Sync but if you’re like me and have a library of over 50 gigs there’s just note enough tools to properly organize everything and see the information you need when using it.
Does the simple job of playing music without the cumbersome features of iTunes. I can’t believe I have to actively search for a program to complete such a simple task on Mac.
I would like this, and reccomend it much more, if it didn’t take five minutes (I’m being literal) to load my itunes library. Granted, said libraray has close to 17,000 songs, so I don’t expect an instantaneous load, but itunes, actually gets me to music faster than Vox right now.
Coming from Windows, I was a Winamp user for decades until Foobar, then MusicBee. Moving over to OSX, my options were limited. I hated iTunes and everything about it; from the autosyncing, forced usage for iPhone and iPods, etc… Having heard wonderful things about VOX, I decided to try it out. It’s a good looking app, not as beautiful as my MusicBee setup but it plays FLAC, something Apple/iTunes is notoriously known for hating because FLAC means zero profits for them so they force AAC/ALAC down your throat. I’ve been using it as a replacement for iTunes, but I decided to trash this app and stick with iTunes. Pros: Plays FLAC, Good looking app. Cons: First of all, the basic things were missing. I cannot transfer multiple songs to a new playlist aka “collection” without finding the file from the fileprompt. There is no way to drag and drop multiple songs into a new playlist. The only way is to drag it to the top to “add and show” and organize it like that. A second playlist pane would be so much more convenient. You have to add files individually. THIS IS ABSOULTELY a dealbreaker for me. Every single music player has allowed me to move multiple songs to a new playlist using CMD+CLICK and dragging it. Secondly, this app forces “loop” down your throat at every chance it gets. It also gives you nagging messages via the growl messages about how I haven’t played any music in a while, how annoying. Overall this app is shiny but has no substance, until then, I will be porting MusicBee with crossover.
Oh I was able to log in to Soundcloud and all but when adding my iTunes library folder it just ground and ground for 45 minutes and never loaded it. Bye!
